Bamboo is an incredible fabric that not only looks & feels great on but is a wonderful choice for the planet. Bamboo is the ideal choice for the planet because very little water and no pesticides or fertilizers are used to grow Bamboo and no replanting is required which means no soil erosion. Bamboo produces around 35% more oxygen than trees ! This means nothing toxic against your body and little impact on the earth!
 

DOES BODYPEACE BAMBOO CLOTHING OFFER SUN PROTECTION?

Yes. Bodypeace Bamboo Clothing has a high UPF (ultra violet protection) rating of 50+. This means that our unique bamboo fabric has excellent sun protection, as compared to a light cotton t-shirt that has a UPF rating of about 5. Our bamboo fabric is certified by ARPANSA confirming the UPF rating of 50+.
As a lot of our styles are reversible to be worn as a higher boat neck to cover the delicate décolletage and are easily worn layered, you can be safe in knowing your body is being protected from the sun whilst looking and feeling great in Bodypeace Bamboo Clothing. 

 

IS BAMBOO FABRIC A GOOD CHOICE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN ?

Yes, Bamboo is Hypo-allergenic with no harmful chemicals being used in any stages of production. It is the perfect choice for sensitive and allergy prone skin as is so gentle on the skin. 
 

DOES BAMBOO FABRIC MAKE YOU SWEAT?

Bamboo is moisture wicking meaning it pulls moisture away from the body to the exterior of the shirt where it can evaporate more easily. Bamboo keeps you cool in Summer and warmer in Winter. 
 

IS BAMBOO ANTI- BACTERIAL?

Yes, Bamboo naturally has natural anti bacterial and anti fungal properties. Bamboo’s natural resistance, can inhibit the growth of bacteria and hence could make your clothing be less smelly in situations where you sweat. 
 

HOW IS BAMBOO FABRIC THERMO REGULATING?

Bamboo is often called a ‘smart’ fabric as it has great Insulating properties which means it will keep you cool in Summer and warmer in Winter. So wearing bamboo shirt in Summer will feel cool and comfortable. 
 

DOES BAMBOO LOOSE IT'S SHAPE ?

No, Bodypeace Bamboo has developed a unique heavy-weight bamboo blend of 92% bamboo and 8% elastane which means that it has some stretch, but won't loose it's shape after washing. Bodypeace Bamboo clothing also requires little to no ironing, making it a fabulous choice for travel. 
 

IS THE BODYPEACE BAMBOO FABRIC GROWN ORGANICALLY ?

Bodypeace Bamboo is proud to only use Certified Organic Fabric. Our bamboo fabric is certified by the widely recognized Ecocert for compliance with Organic Content Standards for Dyeing, Knitting and Trading.
 

HAS THE BODYPEACE BAMBOO CLOTHING BEEN TESTED FOR CHEMICALS ? 

Yes, Our Bamboo fabric is certified by Oeko-Tex 100 Standard confirming no harmful chemicals are used.
 

WHERE IS BAMBOO SOURCED FROM? 

Bamboo is grown and harvested in China's mountains such as Zhejiang, Guang Xi, Guangdong, Suchuan Provinces. The harvesting is done by farmers in rural China and is regulated by the local governments in China to ensure the environment protection standards are continually met.
 

WHAT FIBRE IS USED TO PRODUCE BODYPEACE BAMBOO CLOTHING ? 

The Bamboo fibre used for Bodypeace Bamboo clothing is from the natural fibre found growing in the mountains and hills of China. The Bamboo grows wild and requires little attention from farmers.
 

IS THE BAMBOO PLANT USED A ' CLOSED LOOP SYSTEM' ?

Yes, as the Bamboo grows wild in a natural closed loop area, the bamboo plant can be reborn every year and harvested each season. Unlike trees that require years to grow before being able to be used.
